JUNE Winter is here, and programs and events will be settling down for a while...
We still have lots on the agenda like Knox 3 Ply Applications (Opening Mid June), the Ringwood Skate Bowl Jam (weather permitting) on Friday 11th June at 4pm.
WHAT'S NEWS?
Have your say on the proposed
new Croydon Youth Space
Some of you will be aware of the Croydon Skate Park located in Norton Rd, opposite Swinburne TAFE. Maroondah City Council has allocated funds in 2011/12 for replacement of this facility, and is applying for additional funds to allow them to significantly improve the space for the benefit of local young people. Council is in the process of consulting with young people and the broader community about the best location for the space, and are seeking ideas about how to expand it's usability from being just a skate park, to more of a 'youth space' offering a number of different recreation options for young people.
Council would love your input and support to complete the survey and to get the word out to young people about having their say. Council has developed an online survey that shouldn't take much more than a few minutes so that people can easily contribute to the park's development. There are also prizes to provide a bit of extra incentive! Two $50 JB Hi-Fi vouchers are up for grabs for anyone who completes the survey.
